We ferment in small lots and vary the treatments to tease out the complexity from the fruit. This approach retains the dark berry and spicy fruit flavors while layering in considerable texture that allows this wine to age gracefully in the bottle for many years.

Nemarniki Vineyard is a picturesque site in the Chehalem Mountains. The vineyard is west facing, with the vine rows terraced in a north to south orientation. The combination of this exposure with the Laurelwood soils creates a wine with distinct floral and dried fruit characteristics. The vineyard is lovingly and meticulously farmed by grower Diane Nemarnik.

The wine of Muscadelle (67%) and Riesling (33%) was picked well into November. Gently pressed and fermented in stainless steel, this is an intense, moderately sweet wine full of floral and stone fruit aromatics. This wine will pair very well with a peach galette made by Amaterra Winery's pastry chef!

This is a rich style but maintains the bright acidity and dryness that is a signature of 51Weeks Winemaking rosé.
